About

My name is Becky and this is my blog about random, but mostly fashion-related things.
What you probably need to know is that I’ve been sewing since I was 5 and am currently loving my day job of designing for a local Seattle company. I also love to read, bake, watch terrible rom com’s, and I am always, always trying to be funny. Even if you’re not amused, trust me when I say the attempt was made. (I aim for a 20% success rate.) I still try and find time to sew things for myself, but as you’ll discover with the lack of sewing-related posts, those moments seem to be few and far between these days.
What you should also know is that my posts may contain some affiliate marketing links – this means if you click on a link and make a purchase, I might get a commission. It by no means is keeping me from needing my day job. But if you’re cool with it, then I am too.
If you have any questions or juicy gossip, you should definitely email meohreallybecky@gmail.com.

  1. Hi. I’m also in Oregon and was wondering if you sell your stuff in any stores? I’d love to see some of it in person. Your clothing is absolutely gorgeous. As a very basic sewer I really appreciate your perfectly tailored your stuff looks! Just amazing.

    • Hello! Thank you so much. :) At the moment, nothing is for sale in stores – just on Etsy. I’m thinking about going that route though, and will definitely post if/when it happens!

  2. Hey Becky,

I am considering purchasing a sewing machine to hem pants and do small projects. I need something compact/easy to store. Have any ideas for me in terms of brands and how much I should expect to pay? Pretty sure I am gonna go the Craigslist route. Keep up the good work, I love your blog. Good luck being back in Seattle!! :)

    • Hey Amanda! Thanks so much. :)
I started out with a very simple Pfaff that I got when I was 18 and still occasionally use now. That baby has had some serious miles put on it and I would definitely recommend the brand. I have a Baby Lock right now that I love, but it’s a much more complex machine. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Janome and Bernina too.
Hope this helps and keep me posted on what you end up buying!

      • Becky!

Thanks for the help. I ended up talking to my mom about it at length and she has an old baby serger she has had forever that she is going to give me! I love free things. I just have to figure out how to get the thing to San Diego :) . I will let you know what I end up creating if they are good enough for public viewing :) .

Thanks for the inspiration and great site!
        Amanda
