Made by me: Twirly skirt

Blazer: Silence + Noise, Thrifted / Top: Gap / Skirt: Self-made / Tights: Uniqlo / Shoes: Nordstrom Rack, self-dyed / Belt: Gap / Shades: Target

I think I’m in love with this skirt. But I know the biggest challenge with it will be to make sure it looks more “Fashionable” and less “Easter Sunday”. The best part about it is the length (not too long, not too short)…and obviously how twirly it is.

I saw this Zara cape on my friend Christine’s blog last week and fell in love. So in love in fact, that I decided to make one for myself. The idea is simple, but it can seriously transform an outfit.

And then by the time I finished sewing it, common sense kicked in and I realized that I would be much better off (financially speaking) if I tried to sell this. I mean I can always make one for myself, right? See it for sale on Etsy here.

Sweater: J.Crew, similar
Shirt: Uniqlo
Jeans: Forever 21

Made by me: ’tis the season to wear capelets

This capelet may look familiar, and that's because the first grey wool capelet already sold on Etsy. I figured I better get a second one up real quick. They're identical, except that this new one only has three buttons at center front. To see it for sale on Etsy, click here.
